    Frequently Asked Questions

    Leadership-team development FAQs

    • It is structured work to improve how a senior team makes decisions, handles disagreement, builds trust and takes collective responsibility. The focus is the team as a leadership system, not only the individual skills of its members.

    • Team building creates a shared experience. Team development changes how the team operates: decision rights, trust, accountability, conflict and ways of working. CAIA focuses on the second.

    • External facilitation is useful when the same issues keep returning, when important conversations are not happening internally, or when the person who would normally facilitate is part of the dynamic.

    • Yes. The work can support co-founders navigating recurring tension as well as newly formed executive teams establishing clear ways of working before unhelpful patterns become embedded.

    • Where they add value. The COA Values Assessment is often used to make motivations, differences and potential tensions more visible. Other assessments may be used where relevant.

    • The team leaves with clear commitments, decision principles and ways of working. Follow-up coaching or team sessions can be used to review what has changed and where further work is needed.
